A 180 million rupees loan were disbursed for young entrepreneurs under the “Thurunu Diriya Loan Scheme”

Under “Thununu Diriya”  Loan Programme of Enterprise Sri Lanka Government Concession Loan Scheme, the Bank of Ceylon has provided 180 million rupees to young entrepreneurs throughout the country.

According to the Progress Report of Thurunu Diriya Loan Scheme which has published on 26th of March has stated that the Bank of Ceylon has released a huge amount of loans among 427 young entrepreneurs across the country. Most of the loans have given to Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces.

Thurunu Diriya Loan Scheme is collaborating with the Bank of Ceylon, the Policy Development Division of the Prime Minister’s office, Medium Programme Management Unit and Youth Affairs, Small Enterprises Development Division to empower the youth entrepreneurs of the country.

Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme in June and July

There will be a series of Entrepreneurship Development Training programmes in June and July 2019. Small Enterprises Development Division has been organized 20 programmes covering all districts. This program is a 12-day residential program aimed at entrusting entrepreneurial skills to the young entrepreneurs all over the country.

An Entreprenuers Database from Small Enterprises Development Division

There have been registered more than 20,000 of entrepreneurs in the Database which will be launched soon by Small Enterprises Development Division of Ministry of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development, Vocational Training & Skills Development and Youth Affairs. Through this database, accurate and up to date information of small entrepreneurs in island wide can be accessed easily. It is gathered by the officers of the SED and the Economic Development Officers all over the country. Small Enterprises Development Division has always been in the forefront in providing necessary services for the entrepreneurs across Sri Lanka.

‘SED SALON’ National Project Exceeded 35000 beneficiaries

Small Enterprises Development Division of the Ministry of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development, Vocational Training & amp; Skills Development and Youth Affairs has initiated a program called “SED SALON”

with the utmost hope of improving the services and the quality in the field of beauty culture and so far around 4360 Salons have been registered under that.

The ultimate aim is to provide the technical knowledge, improve the skills and attitude of the beauticians and qualifying of beauty cultural centers is also kept as priority. Here we are to cover all the districts through the event ‘Bridal show’ where already we have 465 facebook business pages.

In spite of that our valued partner ,Bank of Ceylon has initiated the “Thurunudiriya”, loan scheme providing a healthy support to the entrepreneurs involved in beauty cultural industry .Along with that there are around 35163 beneficiaries who has got the opportunity to participate and gain more knowledge through various work shops.
